Prose Poetry : Priyaa, Priya & the Almighty /Dt. 19th April 2020

                        Today is 19th April ,2020; Chaitra30days 

                            Mesha 7days ,Dwadasee Tithi, Sunday....

    Today morning, soon after reading the morning newspapers,  I was totally engrossed with reading Odia poems.
     I  quickly glanced at  all sorts of poems; decided to pen a very short poem, but very very             unique Odia poem on  two lovers & God, the Almighty coming in to picture. 

     The Odia , entitlement is:
      Priyaa, Priya ...Eeswar...
    narrating the Eyes, Heart  & the Almighty as the witness.

Friends! Today , we will discuss on ... one of the Odia verse authored by the eminent Nature Poet, Gangadhar Meher of Barapalli, Odisha.  Meher (DOB :09.08.1862; DOD :04.04.1924)
was a prolific poet , par excellence .He was popularly known as Swabhaba Kabi , the Nature Poet , to the people of Odisha. His picturesque ,poetic style , lucid, lively, vivid descriptions on Nature  earned him the reputations of  the poet for the masses.

His first poetic works was " Rasa- Ratnakara ", Indumati,  Kichaka Badha , Pranaya Ballari, Ajodhya Drusya , Padminee , Tapaswinee etc.  His "TAPASWINEE" kavya had has been liked, loved ,cherished by the students, scholars ,poet society ....

 and en mass by the people of Odisha with great fondness n reverence.
